New York

　This book explains many things about New York for example, the history, famous places, food, events, buildings and so on. I've already know that the New York city is called "The Big Apple", but I didn't know the reason why it is called so. According to this book, New York is called The Big Apple because many people come there with big ambition. The apple means the ambition. About the city of New York, Manhattan is one of the most popular and famous cities. We can enjoy the Chinatown or Little Italy. Also, in Greenwhich Village, there are many interesting shops, cafes, art galleries or theaters. As for shopping and eating, it is said that we can buy everything we want in New York. In SoHo, we can buy something different from others. SoHo is located between Canal Street and West Houston Street. And there are many delicious food in New York. Especially, I was interested in the food of New York. I love junky food like hamburgers, so I want to try the New York style's one. Also, I didn't know the 'deli', the delicatessen. It sells sandwiches. What is more, we can see beautiful fireworks in New York on Independence Day or the New Year's Eve. Many people go to Times Square to see them. Through reading this book, I found New York is much more fascinating city than I had expected. If I have a chance, I want to visit there some day.
