　This book explains many things about New York for example, the history, famous places, food, events, buildings and so on. I've already know that the New York city is called "The Big Apple", but I didn't know the reason why it is called so. According to this book, New York is called The Big Apple because many people come there with big ambition. The apple means the ambition. About the city of New York, Manhattan is one of the most popular and famous cities. We can enjoy the Chinatown or Little Italy. Also, in Greenwhich Village, there are many interesting shops, cafes, art galleries or theaters. As for shopping and eating, it is said that we can buy everything we want in New York. In SoHo, we can buy something different from others. SoHo is located between Canal Street and West Houston Street. And there are many delicious food in New York. Especially, I was interested in the food of New York. I love junky food like hamburgers, so I want to try the New York style's

This week, I read "Bad Company". This is a story of Murder Mystery. One day, a woman was dead on the beach. Blood was flowed from her head. She was a Claudia Engel, who worked at a music company, MMI.  Two detectives, Helen shepherd and Brian Webb started hearing from people around her what they knew about her. They heard from James McNab, who owns MMI, and Harriet Johnson, who sells music for MMI. After that, Shepherd and Webb got to know many information about Engel and they solved the mystery of the murder gradually... If you want to know the truth, you should read this book!

This week, I read "Logan's Choice". This is a mystery and the main character is Logan, who is a detective. One day, one incident happened. A man named Alex was dying in the bathroom. He was a rich man. Logan started investigating with Grant, who is a detective, too. They thought Alex died because of his slipping on the floor, but the floor was not wet. So, they thought he was killed by someone. Logan and Grant asked about Alex to people around him. Alex's wife, Alice said that she was not going well with Alex those days and she had another man who she loves. Alex's brother, Donald was in trouble with money. He didn't have enough money. And Alex's coworker, Ian said he unsatisfied with Alex about their work. People around Alex had each problems about Alex. Who is the criminal...? If you want to know the criminal, you should read this book!

This week, I read "The Man from Nowhere". This story's genre is thriller. A man was visiting India and he was on his way home. He was on his small airplane, but it crashed on an island and it dropped on a desert. There are only three people, the man who is a father, a mother and their son. He decided to call for a rescue and started walking to the coast. He finally could achieve to the coast, but he was exhausted and he lost his consciousness. Luckily, a boy found him and the boy took him to a hospital. He could get his consciousness again, but he lost his memory and nobody can't get to know who he is and where he is from... Can he regain his memories? If you are interested in this story, you should read this book!

This week, I read "Jojo's Story". This is a story about a dispute and a boy at that time. One day, a village was destroyed and all the people in that village was killed. However, only one boy, who wasn't in the village miraculously, was alive. That means he was alone. His name is Jojo. Jojo asks doctors or rescue men why they didn't come to save earlier. Jojo had to stay in an orphanage. He is only ten years old. This book makes us think about how serious and cruel a dispute is. If you are interested in this book, you should read it.

This week, I read "Within High Fences". This is a story about one woman who works as a guard in a asylum. Her name is Nancy. She has her boyfriend. His name is Tom. Tom and Nancy live together. Nancy goes to work at late night everyday, so Tom is worried about that and he doesn't want her to do work there. However, she didn't quit her job. One day, she met one of the refugees at the asylum. He is so smart and kind. The asylum had some very strict rules because refugees are seemed as weak people. But the man didn't like to bluster such people, so he was against with those rules. Nancy gradually fell in love with him to see such personality of him. Finally, she broke up with her boyfriend and she started her new love. However, one day, an strange incident happened... This week, I read "Apollo's Gold". This book's genre is adventure. The main character is Liz, who is an English archaeologist. She is twenty-seven years old and works in Athens. She is always working very hard and she got exhausted. Then, she was told to take rest by a doctor. So she told about that to her boss, Stavros. He recommended her to go to his villa in Sifnos island. In that island, Stavros's friends, Eleni and Yiannis looked after and guided her. Liz got fine gradually, but one day, an serious accident happened in that island... if you want to know the next part of this story, you should read this book!

 This week, I read "A Picture To Remember". The author of this book is Sarah Scott-Malden. The words in this book are easy, so it's not difficult to read through.  One day, a woman was going back home riding on the motorbike. When she was stopping in front of the red traffic light, one car stopped next to her. There were two men in the car and one man of them had a gun. Also, he had a tattoo of a red flower on his neck. When she saw that man, he also saw her. She was really scared and couldn't move at all. Then, a car coming from the back of her crashed to her and she hit her head on the ground. After that, she was took to a hospital, but she doesn't remember the time she had the accident. However, the man who had a gun thought that she remembers that and she would tell police officers about him, so he wanted to stop it and he started trying to kill her before she tells police officers. This week, I read "One Day". This book's author is Helen Naylor. This is a story of one family. The main character is Jason, who is a seventeen-year-old boy. And Maria is Jason's girl friend. They live on Moreland Road and an ordinary Friday came as usual. Jason's mother called Jason, but he doesn't notice because he is listening to music. Nina, who works in a bank has to tell news to her husband, but she's not sure how to tell it. Maggie is reminding of the holiday in Chile. That's just an ordinary Friday evening. However, one accident happened and everyone's life has completely been changed. . . If you want to know the next part of this story, you should read this book. Actually, I felt like this book wasn't for me. . .

This week, I read "Different World". This is a love story. The main characters are Jim and Sam. Actually, Sam is deaf, so she can't hear at all. Because of that, her mother doesn't play music so often even though she likes it. One day, Sam went to a shop and she saw the shop clerk. The clerk's name is Jim. Sam really liked Jim at the first sight, and she started to go to the shop for nothing just to see him. However, she can't hear and talk, so she hasn't talk to him. Does this love go well...? This week, I read "Superbirds". This is a SF story. Superbirds is the name of a spaceship. One day, the spaceship, Superbirds, crashed on the planet and everyone on the spaceship died. However only one person could stay alive and she tried to make a new spaceship. Finally, she could do that and she went back to her planet, but the real trouble happened there...  This book is like interview style and sometimes it's confusing to read, but if you could understand the content, you must be able to enjoy reading this book! The vocabularies of this book are not so difficult. If you want to know the ending of this story, you should read!

This week, I read "Circle Games". This book is constructed by 5 small stories.  I'll introduce some of them. The first story's title is "Quick Man Tan". This story is about a husband who doesn't help his wife's work. He is always talking about his past memories. The second story's title is "The Wheel on the Wall". In this story, there are a husband and a wife. They are on the ship and one wheel was on the wall of the ship. They thought the wheel was from their ancients, so they try to get it. Totally, this book was really interesting to read and the words in this book were easy. You should read it!

One day, his weak leg was operated because it had cancer and it got to be an artificial leg. He thought he wanted to help children in the hospital. To do that, a lot of money were necessary. Then, he decided to run a marathon for money. At first, his family was against to it, but he didn't listen to them. It's her job. On the way she goes to work, she was always meeting the man and talked together. One day, she heard that a burglar broke into one of the houses she was working at. Then, she told him about that accident. After that, he said that he wanted to go and see the house for no reason. She was wondering why he wanted to do that, but they went to the house together.
